Health and safety
Is intermittent fasting safe?
For many healthy adults, intermittent fasting is well tolerated, but it is not right for everyone. Ayuno is a tool and an educational aid, not medical advice. Fasting can be a poor fit during pregnancy or breastfeeding, with a history of eating disorders, or with certain medical conditions. Talk with a healthcare professional before you begin.
What if I take medication?
Some medications need to be taken with food, and fasting can affect blood sugar and blood pressure. Do not change your eating pattern around medication without talking to the professional who prescribed it. Ayuno does not adjust or advise on medication.
Does Ayuno give medical or nutrition advice?
No. Ayuno helps you time and record fasts, and it surfaces your own trends. It does not diagnose, treat, or prescribe. Anything that reads like guidance is general education, not a personal medical recommendation.
Plans and billing
How does the free tier differ from Premium?
The free tier covers the essentials with no ads: a standard timer, basic schedules like 16:8, a few recent journal entries, and your current streak. Premium adds extended and custom multi-day fasts, the Live Lock Screen and Dynamic Island timer, full journal history, Insights like weight trend and weekly recap, adaptive coaching, and Apple Health sync.
How do I cancel?
Subscriptions are managed by Apple, not inside Ayuno. Open the Settings app on your iPhone, tap your name at the top, tap Subscriptions, choose Ayuno, and select Cancel Subscription. You keep Premium until the end of the period you already paid for.
How does the free trial work?
The annual plan includes a 7-day free trial. You are not charged until the trial ends. If you cancel before the trial is over, you are not billed. You can start the trial and manage it entirely from your Apple ID subscriptions.
Will I be charged automatically?
Subscriptions renew automatically unless you turn off auto-renew at least 24 hours before the current period ends. You can turn off auto-renew anytime in your iPhone Settings under your Apple ID subscriptions.
Using the app
Which devices are supported?
Ayuno is an iPhone app. Live Activities, including the Lock Screen timer and Dynamic Island, use features available on recent versions of iOS. There is no Android version.
Is my journal private?
Your journal is yours. Ayuno is built to keep your notes and history private by default. See the Privacy Policy for exactly what is stored and how.
Do I need an account to start?
No. Ayuno does not ask you to create an account. Download the app and start your first fast right away.
