Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains what information Ayuno ("the app", "we", "us") collects, how it's used, and the choices you have. Ayuno is a personal intermittent-fasting tracker. We built it to work with as little data collection as possible — most of what the app knows about you never leaves your device.

Information We Collect

Ayuno collects and stores the following information, entered directly by you or generated by using the app:

• Fasting activity — start/end times, chosen fasting plan, and duration of fasts you complete.
• Weight — any weight readings you log in the app.
• Notes and mood — any daily notes or mood check-ins you choose to write during a fast.
• App preferences — your selected plan, accent settings, and auto-start schedule, if enabled.
• Subscription status — whether you have an active Ayuno Premium subscription, managed entirely through Apple's App Store billing system (see "Payments" below).

Where Your Data Lives

With the exception of the Apple Health data described below, all of the information listed above is stored locally on your device only. Ayuno does not operate a server or database that stores your personal fasting data, notes, or weight history. We do not have access to it, cannot see it, and cannot recover it if you delete the app.

Apple Health (HealthKit)

If you choose to grant access, Ayuno integrates with Apple Health to:

• Read your most recent weight entry from Health, so your Ayuno weight log stays current with readings from other apps or a connected scale.
• Write weight you log in Ayuno back to Health, so it's available to other apps you choose to share it with.
• Log completed fasts to Health as Mindful Minutes sessions.

Health data accessed through HealthKit is never used for advertising, marketing, or any purpose other than the features described above, and is never sold or disclosed to data brokers or other third parties. You can revoke Ayuno's access to Health data at any time in the Health app under Sharing → Apps, or in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Health.

Notifications

Ayuno uses local, on-device notifications (fasting reminders, auto-start alerts) scheduled entirely by your device. These are not sent through a push notification server and no notification content is transmitted anywhere.

Payments

Ayuno Premium subscriptions are billed and processed entirely by Apple through the App Store's in-app purchase system. We do not receive, process, or store your payment card information, billing address, or any other payment details — that information is handled exclusively by Apple in accordance with Apple's own privacy policy.

Apple Watch

If you use the Ayuno Watch app, your fasting status is transmitted directly between your iPhone and your paired Apple Watch using Apple's WatchConnectivity framework. This is a direct device-to-device connection — it does not pass through any server we operate.

What We Don't Do

• We do not use third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs.
• We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties.
• We do not require an account, email address, or sign-in to use Ayuno.

Data Retention and Deletion

Your fasting history, notes, and weight log are stored on your device for as long as the app is installed. Deleting the Ayuno app from your device permanently deletes this locally stored data. Data you've written to Apple Health persists in Health independently of Ayuno, and can be managed or deleted directly within the Health app.

Children's Privacy

Ayuno is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of Ayuno after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
